Therapy Services

Step by Step Guide If you are new to Therapy

No experience or knowledge of therapy is required to begin sessions with Me.

First Step

Contact a therapist and ask for an appointment. It sounds so simple yet it is often the most difficult step for people. I understand, it is not a race it is a marathon. When you are ready call, email or fill out a form on their website to request an appointment.

Second Step

Ok, ready to take action? Now, what do you say and why? It matters less than people think. A brief description of what you would like to work on or a goal that you need support to complete. That is usually enough information to get started with a therapist.

Third Item

Helpful to include a little information about who is looking for therapy services. You for yourself as an individual, you and your partner, SO, spouse? Or are you looking for a support group to join?

If you have worked with a Therapist before

You can start at Step Four

Fourth Step

Determine if the modality of therapy or the Clinician's area of expertise would be helpful. Most therapists receive  similar training in Graduate school however, for most of us  we found our area(s) of specialty. I trained at an Adlerian Graduate School  so I utilize aspects of this modality in the therapy process. I have sought out extensive training and experience with ADHD, ASD, or "Neurodivergent" brain types, anxiety, depression, CBT, DBT, Military members, Veterans, and Trauma survivors.

Step Five

Decide how you would like to pay for the services. I accept private pay, cash, debit or credit cards. I take the following Insurances: Optum, Triwest, and Tricare West. I do not take Medicare or Medicaid.

Last Step

Thanks for hanging in there with me. After your appointment is confirmed there will be some E-forms to complete and sign. Then finally, you can relax until your session because you took the action steps to get here. Until then, I look forward to meeting you and have a great day! Monica
